A trip to Istanbul back in 2013 started me on the road to photography. I bought a Panasonic LX-7, since I hoped to capture better pictures than my cell phone. The camera was great and helped also document a climb of Kilimanjaro with friends the next year.
By late 2014 I was getting more into photography and picked up a Fuji X-E1 to continue the journey. I took that camera on a trip to London and Paris and subsequently was bringing it everywhere with me. I'd try to take photo walks 1-2 times a week, finding I really enjoyed taking landscape and cityscape photos. Luckily I live in NY now, where there are plenty of opportunities to capture this wonderful city.
I find I enjoy both capturing images and subsequently using Lightroom to help tweak the image to match my vision.
Recently I changed my camera set-up again to a Sony A7rII. I'm excited for the next chapter and all of the places I'll photograph.
